What happened

Kenyon International Inc. is recalling portable butane stoves marketed primarily to the boating industry under the "EXPRESS" model designation (model numbers B23000 in black or B23001 in white). The stoves are approximately 7 inches high by 10 inches wide by 12 inches long, feature a single burner with a removable butane fuel canister, and bear labels stating "Made in Korea" and "KENYON EXPRESS." The model number can be found on the front of the unit near the adjustment valve.

The safety fuel shut-off system in these stoves can fail to activate when the fuel container becomes overheated, causing the flame to flare up uncontrollably and creating a fire hazard. According to the recall notice, affected consumers should stop using the portable butane stoves immediately and return them to Kenyon International Inc. for a free repair.

Hazard
