What happened

STIHL PolyCut mowing heads designed for use with certain STIHL trimmers, brushcutters, and clearing saws are being recalled because the bolts that connect the plastic blades and hold the mowing head together can loosen and cause the mowing head to come apart, which poses an injury risk to users and bystanders. The recalled mowing heads can be identified by model number 27-3 or 47-3 and feature three orange plastic blades, a black top housing, and a white bottom housing.

According to the recall, consumers should stop using the affected mowing heads immediately and take them to an authorized STIHL dealer for a full refund.
