What happened

GreatCall has recalled Lively Mobile Plus emergency alert devices model GCR4 manufactured between January and April 2019 because the call button can fail when pushed during an emergency. The recalled devices are silver and black with "GreatCall" printed near the top of the front. The model number GCR4 appears on the back, and the date code 19.01 or 19.03 is printed on the bar code label. These wearable devices are designed to be worn on a magnetic lanyard around the neck or clipped to a purse, belt, or pocket for fall detection and emergency communication.

According to the recall, consumers should immediately stop using the Lively Mobile Plus and contact GreatCall to receive a full refund. GreatCall is contacting all known purchasers directly.
