What happened

Hunter is recalling Brunswick ceiling fan models 52262, 52263, 54178, 54179, 54184, and 54185 because the light kit wires can become damaged, creating an electric shock hazard. These fans have three or four lights, four blades, and blade spans ranging from 44 to 60 inches. They were sold in white or black motor housings with various blade finishes including white, gray oak, and aged oak. The model number can be found on a label on top of the motor housing.

Consumers who own one of these recalled fans should immediately stop using them and contact Hunter to receive a free replacement light kit.
