TerraTrike Rambler E.V.O adult tricycles
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
TerraTrike is recalling yellow Rambler E.V.O. recumbent pedal-powered tricycles with electric assist wheels because the torque sensor in the wheel can activate unexpectedly and cause the trike to power forward suddenly, creating crash and injury hazards. The recalled trikes have two front wheels and one rear wheel with a large black hub motor, with "Terra Trike" printed on the back rest and the model name "Rambler E.V.O." on the front outrigger tube.
Affected consumers should immediately stop using the recalled tricycles and return them to their place of purchase. The manufacturer will perform a free speed sensor installation and software upgrade on the returned trikes. Consumers can verify whether their trike is included in the recall by checking the serial number, which is located on a barcoded sticker under the main tube near the rear wheel or stamped into the head tube of the outrigger, against the list on the firm's website at www.terratrike.com.
