Carbon Express is recalling two models of Blade crossbows (model 20292 in black and model 20240 in camouflage) because they can fire unexpectedly even when the safety is engaged, which could injure the user or a bystander. The affected crossbows have "Blade" printed on the sides and feature a half aluminum rail, die cast riser, black pistol grip, black butt stock, weigh approximately 6.5 pounds, shoot at 320fps, and have a 13-inch power stroke. The model number can be found on a metallic sticker on the bottom left limb.
Consumers who own one of these crossbows should immediately stop using it. According to the recall, affected consumers should return their crossbows to Carbon Express to receive a free repair.
