Pacific Décor is recalling pourable gel fuel sold in one-quart white plastic bottles labeled "Pacific Flame Premium pourable gel fuel," with and without citronella (model numbers 160 and 170). The fuel can ignite unexpectedly and splatter when poured into a firepot that is still burning, particularly if the consumer does not notice the flame or realize the firepot is still lit. The splattered, ignited gel can cause fire and burn injuries to people and nearby objects, potentially fatal outcomes.
According to the recall notice, consumers should immediately stop using the pourable gel fuel in firepots and return all bottles to the retailer where they purchased the fuel for a full refund.

The pourable gel fuel can ignite unexpectedly and splatter onto people and objects nearby when it is poured into a firepot that is still burning. This hazard can occur if the consumer does not see the flame or is not aware that the firepot is still ignited. Gel fuel that splatters and ignites can pose fire and burn risks to consumers that can be fatal.
Consumers should immediately stop using the pourable gel fuel in firepots and return all bottles to the retailer where the consumer purchased the fuel for a full refund.
This recall involves pourable gel fuel packaged in one-quart, white plastic bottles, and sold with and without citronella. The label on the container says "Pacific Flame" and "Premium pourable gel fuel." The fuel is poured into a stainless steel cup in the center of ceramic firepots or other decorative lighting devices and ignited.
