Hillsdale Furniture is recalling Chadwick children's bunk beds sold exclusively at Bob's Discount Furniture because the wooden side mattress support rails can crack or break, creating a fall hazard. The recall affects bunk beds in white (model 1030), mission oak (models 1245 and 1589), and twin over full combinations, regardless of whether they included a storage drawer, trundle, or neither underneath the lower bunk. These beds were made in Vietnam and can be identified by a label on the inside of the bed rail or foot board showing the Hillsdale Furniture name and model number.
Consumers who own these bunk beds should immediately stop using them and contact Hillsdale Furniture to arrange for free replacement rails to be installed at no cost by Bob's Discount Furniture. Bob's Discount Furniture is contacting known customers directly about the recall.
