Britax Recalls Strollers and Replacement Top Seats Due to Choking Hazard

Is my product affected?

Britax B-Ready strollers

  • Brand Britax Child Safety Inc., of Fort Mill, S.C.

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Britax is recalling B-Ready strollers and B-Ready replacement top seats because foam padding on the stroller's arm bar can break into fragments if a child bites it, creating a choking hazard. The recalled strollers have silver or black frames with solid-colored top seats and feature the Britax logo on the side hinges and foot rest, with "B-Ready" printed on the frame sides. The replacement top seats were sold separately in various colors. Model numbers and manufacture dates are printed on labels located on the stroller frame between the front wheels or on the inside frame by the back right wheel for strollers, and on the right side tube above the adjuster button for replacement top seats.

According to the record, affected consumers should immediately remove the arm bar from their recalled stroller or replacement top seat and contact Britax to receive a free black zippered arm bar cover and warning label. Consumers can continue using their strollers without the arm bar attached while waiting for or after receiving the replacement cover.
