Bexco Expands Recall of DaVinci Brand Cribs Due to Entrapment, Fall and Laceration Hazards

Is my product affected?

DaVinci Cribs

  • Brand Bexco Enterprises Inc., of Montebello, Calif.

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Bexco is recalling certain DaVinci brand full-size cribs because a metal bracket connecting the mattress support to the crib can break, creating an uneven surface or gap. When this happens, babies can become trapped in the crib, fall out, or suffer cuts from the broken metal bracket. The recall affects the Reagan (model M2801), Emily (model M4791), Jamie (model M7301), and Jenny Lind (model M7391) cribs manufactured between May 2012 and December 2012.

To determine if your crib is affected, check the label on the bottom right side panel of the crib for the model number and serial number. Recalled cribs have serial numbers beginning with "N00" followed by specific numbers listed for each model. According to the recall, consumers should immediately stop using the affected cribs and contact Bexco for a free replacement mattress support with replacement brackets. Until the replacement arrives, parents should move the child to an alternate safe sleeping environment such as a bassinet, play yard, or toddler bed appropriate for the child's age.

What should I do?

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cribs and contact Bexco for a free replacement mattress support which includes replacement brackets. In the meantime, parents are urged to find an alternate, safe sleeping environment for the child, such as a bassinet, play yard or toddler bed depending on the child's age.
