The Moses basket, made from natural tan wild palm leaves and measuring approximately 33 inches long by 14 inches tall and 10 inches wide, fails to meet the federal hand-held infant carrier standard and can slide off inclined surfaces. The stand, which features a pine wood frame with a fabric platform and polyester rope design and measures 17 inches tall by 14 to 15 inches wide, fails to meet the bassinet/cradle standard and can tip over, creating a fall hazard for infants.
Consumers should immediately stop using the Moses baskets as hand-held infant carriers. Those who purchased both the basket and stand should immediately stop using the recalled stand and contact Sleeping Partners for instructions on returning both items to receive store credit.
