Madewell is recalling all Sightseer sandals from the spring 2015 collection due to a defect where the metal shank can dislodge and break through the bottom of the outsole, creating a fall hazard. The recall affects ten specific Sightseer sandal styles in all sizes: the Knotted Slide Sandal (C0275), T-Strap Thong Sandals in Black Leather (C0276) and Metallic Colorblock (C0277), Buckle Gladiator Sandal (C0278), Slide Sandal (C0279), Crisscross Sandal (C1105), T-Strap Toe-Loop Sandal (C5893), Ankle-Wrap Sandals in Shiny Silver (C5895) and Metallic Sand (C6090), and Lace-Up Sandal (C5897). The style number can be found on a sticker on the outsole.

Consumers who own any of these recalled sandals should immediately stop using them and contact Madewell to return the shoes for a full refund.
