Daiso has recalled several children's products due to safety violations. The recalled items include balancing toys shaped like dragonflies, children's purses shaped like lion, frog, or bear heads, rainbow-striped purses, pen cases shaped like candy with "cool ice cream," "sweet cake," or "fad hamburger" designs, and inflatable baseball bats labeled "Home Run." The surface paint on the balancing toys and zippers on the purses and pen cases contain excessive levels of lead, which violates federal lead paint regulations. The inflatable baseball bats contain excessive levels of DEHP, a type of phthalate that violates federal phthalate standards. All recalled products have "Daiso" printed on the packaging.
Consumers who have purchased these products should immediately remove them from children's access. According to the recall, affected consumers should contact Daiso to receive either a free replacement product or a full refund.
