Keysheen International Corp. is recalling approximately 38,300 children's folding chaise lounge chairs sold nationwide between 1994 and 1997 at stores including Linens 'n Things, Hecht's, Kohl's, Fred Meyer, Robinsons May, and Hills for about $15 to $20. The chairs have a metal frame covered with colorful printed fabric, measure 46¾ inches long by 13½ inches wide, and feature two white 12-inch armrests. The hazard is that if the support leg of the footrest is not fully extended when a child sits down, the child's fingers can become trapped between the support leg and metal frame, causing pinching or amputation injuries. The CPSC received one report of a 4-year-old child's fingertip being amputated when sitting in the chair.
Per the recall record, consumers should take the chairs away from children immediately and call Keysheen toll-free at (877) 539-7436 for instructions on receiving a full refund. Consumers should destroy the chairs to prevent further use by children.
