Victoria Classics Roman Shades sold exclusively at Target stores are being recalled due to a strangulation hazard. The recall affects two styles: Thermal Sailcloth and Matchstick Bamboo roman shades, each approximately 64 inches long. Thermal Sailcloth shades come in widths of 23, 27, 31, and 35 inches in coffee, red, ivory, and tan colors, while Matchstick shades are available in widths of 23, 27, 31, 35, and 36 inches in brown. All recalled shades have a small sewn-in label on the back reading "home, Made in China." Children can be strangled when placing their neck between the exposed inner cord and the fabric on the backside of the blind, or by pulling out and wrapping the cord around their neck. Exposed operating cords can also knot or tangle, creating a strangulation loop.
Consumers who have purchased these roman shades should immediately stop using them and contact Victoria Classics to receive a free repair kit.
