Coleman Cookin' Machine propane gas hoses
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Coleman Company is recalling approximately 30,000 propane Cookin' Machines manufactured between November 1987 and March 1989 due to a fire hazard. The propane hoses on these units may loosen from the fuel valve connection after repeated use. If a hose loosens while the fuel valve is turned on, propane may leak and ignite, creating a risk of personal injury or property damage. Coleman has received reports of five incidents where hoses came loose and caused fire damage.
Consumers who purchased a Coleman propane Cookin' Machine after November 1987 should stop using the product and call Coleman's toll-free hotline at 1-800-835-3278 for instructions on obtaining a replacement hose. The company has redesigned the hose to fix the problem and will provide the replacement hose at no charge. The hotline is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Eastern Time.
