What happened

Sunrise Medical has recalled Quickie® Shark bikes with custom footrests due to a defect that can cause the footrests to break, potentially injuring the rider. The recall affects two model numbers—SB472900001 and SB471900001—and specific serial numbers listed in the recall notice. These bikes are designed for use by disabled persons, and model and serial numbers can be found printed on the right side of the bike frame.

Consumers who own an affected Quickie® Shark bike should immediately stop using it and contact Sunrise Medical or their Sunrise Medical dealer for instructions on obtaining replacement footrests.
