Snoopy toy banks
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Ideal Toy Corporation is recalling approximately 60,000 "Snoopy" toy banks because the paint used on these products contains lead at levels exceeding the Consumer Product Safety Commission's permissible limit of 0.5%. The recalled banks are approximately six inches high and feature the "Snoopy" character in four different designs: "Joe Cool" Bank (Model #5272-0), Santa Bank (Model #5270-4), Tuxedo Bank (Model #5273-8), and Dog House Bank (Model #5271-2). The CPSC implemented this regulation to reduce the risk of lead poisoning in children who may ingest paint chips or peelings, though no injuries or illnesses from these toys have been reported.
Consumers who have these banks should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. For further information, consumers can call Ideal collect at (212) 454-5000.
