What happened

Remote-controlled toy helicopters sold under the brand name Champion HX242 Electric Power Helicopter are being recalled because their batteries can overheat and catch fire, creating a burn hazard. The helicopters are lightweight plastic toys measuring approximately 13 inches long with 10-inch rotor diameter, colored yellow and red with green rotors. Each helicopter comes with a control unit, charger, and rechargeable batteries built into the toy's body.

Consumers who own these recalled helicopters should immediately stop using them. According to the recall, affected consumers should contact ThinkGeek to receive either a refund or a replacement product.
