Memcorp Inc. is recalling battery packs sold with Disney-brand personal DVD players because the batteries can overheat and possibly burst during recharging, which may cause burns. The affected DVD players are approximately 6.5 inches by 5.5 inches with 3-inch screens and come in five styles: Princess (model DP3500-PRN), Fairy Flowers (model DP3500-FLR), Mickey Classic (model DP3500-MC), Mickey Mouse (model DP3500-MKY), and Power Rangers (model DP3500-POW). The model number can be found on the back of the unit under the viewing stand below the Disney brand name.
Consumers who have one of these recalled DVD players should immediately stop using the supplied battery pack and contact Memcorp to request a replacement rechargeable battery pack.
