What happened

Arctic Cat Inc. is recalling specific 2005 all-terrain vehicles because the fuel tanks on these models could develop leaks that may cause fires, potentially resulting in injury or property damage. The recall affects 2005 Arctic Cat 500 and 650 FIS models, as well as 400 and 500 TBX models. Owners can identify whether their vehicle is affected by checking the vehicle identification number (VIN) against the specific ranges listed for each model type—the VIN is located on the left rear frame tube near the upper shock mount.

The TBX models have VIN ranges of 4UF05ATV15T221345 through 4UF05ATV15T223967, and 4UF05ATVX5T251024 through 4UF05ATV55T251397. The VIN is located on the left rear frame tube of the vehicle near the upper shock mount.
