What happened

Grand Hall and the CPSC are recalling certain gas grills because moisture can enter the temperature gauge and cause the glass cover to break, which may injure people nearby. The recall affects Bakers & Chefs® models Y0655 and Y0656, Members Mark® model Y0660, and Kenmore models 15221 and 15223. You can identify your grill's model number on a silver ID tag on the back or side of the grill head. The recalled grills are made of stainless steel or painted steel and display the brand name on the front control panel or grill lid.

Owners of recalled grills will receive a free repair kit or replacement temperature gauge from the company. The repair kit includes a "Glass-Gard" protective film and instructions for installation on the gauge's glass cover. Testing confirms the glass will not break when the Glass-Gard is properly installed. According to the recall notice, consumers should not use the grill until the Glass-Gard has been installed following the provided instructions.
