OWT Industries Inc. and Sears are recalling Craftsman® routers, model number 315.17510 with date codes of A0304 or lower, due to a defective on-off switch that can stick in the "on" position. This hazard poses a risk of serious lacerations to the operator and bystanders. The affected routers have an aluminum base with black handles and a black motor, and all were originally packaged with a cloth carry bag under stock number 17518. The model number and date code can be found on a black data label on the electric motor's housing.
Consumers who own affected routers should stop using them immediately and return them to their nearest Sears store for a product exchange.

This recall involves Craftsman® routers, model number 315.17510 with date codes of A0304 or lower. All affected routers were packaged with a cloth carry bag under the stock number 17518. Routers sold without the bag are not involved in the recall.
