Children's board book sets

Random House, Inc. is recalling boxed children's board book sets sold with plastic snaps on the cardboard box lids. The plastic snaps can detach and pose a choking hazard to young children. The recalled sets include "MONSTERS TO GO!," "DISNEY PRINCESS - DISNEY THE PRINCESS COLLECTION 2," "DISNEY'S WINNIE THE POOH - A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS," and "BARBIE - MY BARBIE FUN BOX." Each set contains four board books and features children's characters on the box front along with a colored plastic handle. Only sets with plastic snaps are affected; sets with metal snaps are not part of the recall.
Consumers who have an affected book set should immediately cut off the box lid containing the plastic snaps and discard the rest of the box. The lid with the plastic snaps should be sent to Tri-State, c/o Anthony Armetta, 325 Rabro Drive, Hauppauge, NY 11788, for a free replacement book set and a postage refund.
