These lighters lack child-resistant mechanisms required by federal law and can be ignited by young children, creating fire and burn hazards. The recalled lighters have green, red, blue, black, or yellow bodies with metal tops that are imprinted with "BIC" and "made in France." The standard-size lighters have UPC number 3 086120 600020, and the mini-lighters have UPC number 3 086120 600051.
According to the recall announcement, consumers who own these lighters should stop using them immediately and return them to the store where they were purchased for a refund.

The standard size lighters have the UPC number 3 086120 600020 and the mini-lighters have the UPC number 3 086120 600051.
