Lenovo Recalls Computer Power Cords Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

What happened

Lenovo has recalled LS-15 AC power cords that were manufactured between February 2011 and December 2011 due to a fire and burn hazard. The power cords can overheat during use. These cords were distributed with IdeaPad brand B-, G-, S-, U-, V-, and Z-series laptop computers and Lenovo brand B-, G-, and V-series laptop computers. The recalled cords are black and have "LS-15" molded on the AC adapter end, with a manufacture date code in the format "REV: 00 YYMM" on an attached label.

If you have one of the recalled power cords, you should immediately unplug and stop using it. Contact Lenovo for a free replacement cord. In the meantime, you can continue using your computer on battery power.
