Is my product affected?

Hanging Glass Star Lanterns

  • Brand Pier 1 Imports®, of Fort Worth, Texas

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Pier 1 Imports has recalled hanging glass star lanterns because the solder welds holding the lantern together can melt from the heat of a tea light candle. When the welds melt, the candle holder can break and expose the flame, creating a fire hazard. The recalled lanterns are three-dimensional star-shaped lanterns measuring seven inches in all directions, made with gold-toned metal and glass, and include models in amber (SKU 2717349), clear (SKU 2717351), and red (SKU 2724169). The SKU number can be found on the hang tag attached to each lantern.

Consumers who own these lanterns should stop using them immediately. According to the recall notice, affected consumers should return their lanterns to any Pier 1 Imports store for either a full refund or store credit.
