Spectrum Brands has recalled certain Rayovac flashlight models because the batteries can overheat and melt the plastic casing, creating a burn hazard. The recall affects three models: Rayovac LED Industrial flashlights (model ILED2AA) with 25 or 50-hour run times, Rayovac Value Bright LED plastic flashlights (model BRSELED2AA-BA), and Rayovac Value Bright flashlights (model BRSELED2AA-BDGDI). These flashlights are about 6½ inches long, use two AA batteries, and come in solid red, blue, green, or black with yellow. Affected units have one of these date codes printed on a white sticker inside the tube: E/J-C, H/F-C, I/F-C, L/F-C, M/W-C, O/F-C, R/F-C, R/J-C, S/J-C, T/F-C, U/F-C, or Y/J-C.
Consumers who have a recalled flashlight should stop using it immediately and remove the batteries. To obtain a remedy, affected consumers should contact Spectrum for a full refund or register for the recall at www.rovrecall.com.

This recall involves Rayovac LED Industrial flashlights (model ILED2AA) with run times of 25 or 50 hours, Rayovac Value Bright LED plastic flashlights (model BRSELED2AA-BA), and Rayovac Value Bright flashlights (model BRSELED2AA-BDGDI). The flashlights use two AA batteries. They measure about 6 ½ inches long and the flashlight head is about 1 1/3 inches in diameter. They were sold in the following colors: solid red, blue, green or black with yellow. Rayovac is printed on the head of the flashlight. The following date codes are included in the recall: E/J-C, H/F-C, I/F-C, L/F-C, M/W-C, O/F-C, R/F-C, R/J-C, S/J-C, T/F-C, U/F-C and Y/J-C. The date code is printed on a white sticker inside the flashlight's tube.
