Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Nielsen-Kellerman is recalling NK R2 microphones manufactured before September 1, 2012, due to a shock and burn hazard. The microphones, which are designed for use by navigators in rowing boats, have uncovered metal booms that can conduct electricity from exposed speaker wires or connectors, potentially shocking or burning the user. The recalled microphones are identifiable by their rubber U-shaped base attached to a blue headband, with a black metal microphone boom and a cable featuring a flat, rubber-covered connector. They are used with Cox Box and Cox Box Mini voice amplifiers and bear the NK logo on the headband.
Consumers who own recalled microphones should immediately stop using them and return them to NK for a free replacement.
