What happened

Summit Treestands is recalling Talon Raptor brackets and straps used in certain hang-on tree stands because the brackets can unexpectedly fail and cause the tree stand to detach from the tree, creating a fall hazard. The affected products include Summit Treestands models rsEagle 82044, rsOsprey 82041, rsFalcon 82042, rsHawk 82043, and Cabelas Realtree Outfitters Series Hawk Deluxe 81509. Model numbers can be found on the warning label sewn onto the tree stand seat.

Consumers who own these tree stands should immediately stop using the brackets. To remedy the issue, affected consumers should contact Summit Treestands to receive a replacement bracket or strap.
