What happened

Watkins Manufacturing and Therm Products are recalling 11 models of Hot Spring Spas and Limelight Hot Tubs that were manufactured between March 2011 and December 2011. These spas contain Therm Products No-Fault Water Heaters with a loose internal electrical connection that can overheat and ignite, creating a fire hazard. The affected models are Aria, Envoy, Flair, Glow, Grandee, Jetsetter, Prodigy, Pulse, Sovereign, Vanguard, and Vista. You can identify whether your spa is recalled by checking the serial code in your spa's equipment compartment—the code contains "2N," "3N," or "4N" in the seven to ten character serial number.

If you own a recalled spa, you should immediately stop using it and shut off power following the instructions in your owner's manual or by calling the Watkins-Therm Products Response Hotline. Contact the Response Hotline or your Watkins Manufacturing spa dealer to arrange a free replacement heater and professional installation by a service technician. Watkins Manufacturing dealers are also contacting affected owners directly to schedule the free replacement installation.
